Hello, my name is Rebecca and I am the founder of Clarity Yoga. I am a qualified Vinyasa, Chair and Children's Yoga instructor and a keen meditation and breathwork guide. I am passionate about helping others to find awareness, acceptance and contentment through yoga and well-being practices.
After working for many years in a high pressure industry I found that I was no longer really aware of my body. That sounds strange but I'm sure many of you spend most of the week focused on work, kids, appointments, clubs or activities and just being everywhere on time. You can easily lose track of when you eat, how much you sleep, if you've washed, when and where you pick up bruises or aches and pains. You soon find you're holding yourself together with tape just to reach the weekend. It wasn't until I tried yoga at the suggestion of a friend that I found a new and better way to live.
I like pushing myself to achieve but, like everyone else, my energy is exhaustive and it takes a lot of motivation and balance. Demanding schedules, ever rising financial concerns and continuous social pressures can sometimes overwhelm us on their own. Now more than ever there is a pressure to be accessible and functioning for 19/20 hours per day, 6-7 days per week and we just aren't built to cope with it. We're often so busy and distracted with daily demands that we aren't actually listening to our bodies and that can be when things take their toll on us physically and mentally. We need an outlet, we need to recharge, we need a moment to find some clarity.
To get fit, I initially started running and just using Yoga as a way to stretch. I found out that yoga wasn't just about stretching and that there was an amazing spiritual history and rich philosophy that's thousands of years old. I found real meaning behind breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation (dyhana), focus (dharana) and mantras; and that there was real science behind these to support how they worked.
While spirituality and philosophy may not be what you're looking for; stretching, breath-work and many other techniques are accessible to us all and the benefits they offer, far outweigh the benefits of prioritising other things.
For years I have used these techniques in my daily and weekly routine to build strength, confidence, self-love, calm and to find balance. Simply put; calm the waves of the mind and the soul will speak. It's not always been easy, suddenly exploring who you are can be tough and things will always happen that are beyond our control and we're human so we will naturally feel sad, anxious, depressed or angry; but we are not our minds and there are techniques we can use to guide us through.
I am now making it my life's work to share these lessons in the hope that others can achieve more than they believed they could and feel good about who they are. It is a new mindset, a lifestyle choice and it's 100% worth it.
Our sessions are between 60 and 90 minutes in running time and demonstrate a number of techniques depending on the outcome you wish to achieve. Private sessions are held at the location of your choosing but classes may have particular requirements which can be discussed on application.

Please reach us at clarity.breathe@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We have recently expanded our offering so that we're not only delivering Vinyasa and Slow Flow Vinyasa but we can now offer Power Yoga, Chair Yoga and Children's Yoga.
You are welcome to bring your own Yoga mat however, we are happy to supply equipment for the class if required, just let us know in advance.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement, such as leggings or athletic shorts and a tank top or t-shirt.
Class etiquette is important. We ask you to arrive 10 minutes early to ensure you are set-up in time to start. We also ask you to leave your shoes and phones at the door when you come in. If for any reason you cannot do this please discuss the circumstances with the instructor before the class begins.
The short answer is possibly. It very much depends on the severity of the injury, if you are aware of how this effects your movement, if you have been cleared by a medical professional and if you are aware of alterations you can make to your own practice. Please discuss any injuries or medical concerns you have with the instructor before the class begins.
We do offer physical adjustments to help with alignments, which are very light, but will always ask if this is okay before we proceed.
